Designer of the Year (Consumer Media)

Criteria

This Award recognises the designer who can demonstrate technically brilliant and outstanding design during the past year on a title or brand. The judges will be looking for evidence of how major design innovation and excellence during the year has supported the success of the title or brand and how the design translates across other platforms. Entrants should also explain how resources have been used for maximum impact as well as the relevance of the design to the target audience. Judges will also be looking for coherence, excellence in the use of photography, typography and illustration and other design elements.

Requirements

> Circulation by size and type (free, controlled, newstrade, subscription)

> Audit method (if applicable)

> Relevant revenue / profit figures

> Growth statistics

> Other performance statistics and results / evidence of success

> Website data: page impressions (monthly / yearly), monthly unique users

> Any additional online data

Each submission must consist of the following:

> One entry form

> Three separate issues of the magazine (these may be consecutive), each carrying a cover date from the last 12 months. Each submission should contain a high resolution print quality scan (300 dpi jpeg) of the magazine cover/brand. (Magazine cover must be from one of the three issues submitted.)

Each submission should contain a high resolution print quality (300dpi jpeg) head and shoulders photograph of the nominees

Please do not submit any other material – it will not be sent to or considered by the judges
