MAGFEST Ireland 2017

 

The world of Irish magazine media came together to explore, advance, and celebrate all things magazine at MAGFEST Ireland in the Mansion House in Dublin on Wednesday 26 April 2017.

The prestigious panel of speakers included Dr Jane Suiter, FuJo, Dublin City University (DCU) who spoke on Digital First: The Engagement Game; Marcus Rich, CEO, Time Inc. UK discussed “Why environment and context are more important than ever for advertisers and how magazine media is uniquely placed to take advantage of the changing requirement of clients and agencies”; Former CEO of The BMJ Group (British Medical Journal), Tim Brooks’s paper was entitled Did you think I’d crumble? Did you think I’d lay down and die? Tim examined how B2B publishers channelled their inner Gloria Gaynor to get beyond print and back into growth. A success story that many consumer publishers could learn from. And PPA CEO and former Smash Hits and Empire Editor Barry McIlheney on why the content always matters more than the platform in his paper The Poetry Not The Pipes.
