New Benefits for Magazines Ireland Members


Magazines Ireland has launched three new services for its members including a service to assist members in dealing with human resources issues; a bespoke media policy from insurance provider Willis Towers Watson and an internship programme for US students studying a range of media courses. Some of these services are available on a free gratis basis and others at special discounted rates to members of the association.

The Media Policy from Willis Towers Watson covers Multimedia Liability and Advertising Injury; Defamation; Intellectual Policy Rights Infringement; Invasion of Rights of Privacy; Content Liability; Professional Indemnity; Loss Mitigation and Cyber Liability.

Workplace Solutions will offer advice on training, trouble shooting, conflict management and other issues which our members may wish to seek advice on. Services available to Magazines Ireland members on a free gratis basis include Basic Employment Law Compliance Material including Statement of Terms of Employment, Draft Guideline Contracts; Dispute Avoidance and Resolution including a Workshop on Practical Employment Law and a free telephone or online consultation for members.

The internship programme with Griffith College Dublin is for US students in degree courses in Journalism and Media; Public Relations; Digital Marketing; Social Media; Business and Photography. The internships are four to eight months duration and the candidates are fully screened by Griffith College Dublin. Companies will not have to scroll through numerous CVs and only quality students with a grade point average of a 2.1 in their exams will be offered to publishers.
